About Debbie

Debbie Hoffman

Debbie Hoffman

Debbie moved to the Yukon in 1994 and was called to the bar in the Yukon and in British Columbia in 1995, specializing in family law and general civil litigation.

Debbie is also trained as a collaborative lawyer, conflict coach and mediator.  In 2016 Debbie decided to devote her career to alternative dispute resolution.  Debbie obtained certification from the University of Waterloo in Conflict Management and Mediation to complement her Collaborative Family Law Training.

Debbie was attracted to Collaborative Law because it takes a holistic approach to conflict resolution by supporting the parties through the separation process in a way that is informed, transparent and client focussed, paying particular attention to the unique needs of the parties and their children.  Collaborative Law helps to facilitate communication during the difficult process of separation in a respectful environment where the result is tailored to fit the family’s needs.
